The problem
Investor reporting lagged because analytics lived in manual packs. Decision makers could not see portfolio, revenue, and cash in one live view, so the next move waited on a rebuilt report.
A static export does not refresh while markets move. The team needed a React front end and a .NET Core service that could serve live investor reporting.
- Reporting was assembled by hand for each cycle
- Investors lacked a real-time dashboard for critical metrics
- Data was hard to reach outside the person who built the sheet
- No live dashboard for portfolio and cash position
- Report generation was slow and easy to get wrong
- Stakeholders could not self-serve the same numbers
What we changed
We built a real-time investor dashboard in React and .NET Core. Finance analytics, investor reporting, and interactive views share one live data path.
- Real-time executive dashboard for portfolio, revenue, growth, and cash
- Investor reporting and finance analytics in one product
- Faster report generation from the same live metrics
Analysts still approve what goes to an investor pack. The dashboard shows live numbers. A person still owns a published report.

What this means for you
- Investor software only helps if the dashboard and the report share one number
- Manual packs lose to a live view the moment a stakeholder asks a new question
- React and .NET Core are enough when the job is reporting, not a new general ledger
- Faster decisions need accessible data, not another export format

What we chose to automate
Once metrics are live, later helpers can flag a variance or draft a note. The first job is a dashboard people trust, not a generated narrative.
- Keep investor metrics on one real-time board
- Generate reports from the same numbers the dashboard shows
- Leave room for alerts once the feed is trusted
How the pieces fit together
React renders the dashboard. .NET Core serves analytics and reporting APIs so the numbers on screen and in a generated report stay aligned.
- React investor dashboard
- .NET Core reporting and analytics services
- Live monitoring of critical financial metrics
When a person still takes over
Analysts still approve what goes to an investor pack. The dashboard shows live numbers. A person still owns a published report.
- Export and filters under a named role
- Report generation a person can review before send
- Stakeholder views that do not silently change a published figure
What it connects to
- React
- .NET Core
Still building investor packs by hand?
If decisions wait on a rebuilt spreadsheet, we can look at a live React and .NET Core dashboard, the way we did on this finance reporting product.
