The problem
Joy to the World needed product discovery for handcrafted ornaments and a way for retailers to order without a generic store that dropped brand storytelling. Wholesale, dropshipping, and consumer checkout could not stay in separate inboxes.
An off-the-shelf cart does not hold wholesale inquiries, retailer fulfillment, and artisan process pages together. The brand needed custom catalog, checkout, Amazon Pay-style payment convenience, and dropshipping for retailers.
- Retailer dropshipping and consumer catalog were not one commerce job
- Custom ornaments, collections, and wholesale inquiries lacked a shared cart and account path
- Orders, returns, and fulfillment were coordinated by hand
- No retailer-oriented dropshipping workflow on the storefront
- Customer accounts, orders, and returns were not in one lookup
- Custom ornament reorders and wholesale inquiries sat outside checkout
What we changed
We built a custom e-commerce dropshipping platform for Joy to the World Collectibles. Catalog, cart, checkout, customer accounts, orders and returns, wholesale inquiries, and retailer fulfillment sit in one storefront, with room for artisan storytelling and digital marketing assets.
- Product catalog and collection navigation for handcrafted ornaments
- Shopping cart, checkout, customer accounts, orders, and returns
- Wholesale and retailer dropshipping workflows
- Custom ornament ordering, reorder context, and Amazon Pay-style payment option
Studio and warehouse still confirm a custom ornament, a wholesale quote, and a return. The product records the order. A person still owns production and ship.

Joy to the World Collectibles
What this means for you
- Collectible e-commerce only helps if retailer dropshipping and consumer checkout share one order
- Brand storytelling belongs next to the catalog, not on a separate brochure site
- Wholesale inquiries should land in the same product as cart and returns
- Custom ornaments need reorder context, or the next season starts from a blank email

What we chose to automate
Once catalog, wholesale, and fulfillment share one order, later helpers can flag a stock gap or a slow retailer ship. The first job is a trusted order, not a recommendation widget.
- Keep consumer and retailer orders on one commerce record
- Give fulfillment the same status the customer sees
- Leave room for inventory alerts once the catalog is trusted
How the pieces fit together
The storefront serves consumers and retailers. Dropshipping and wholesale inquiry flows sit beside catalog and checkout so fulfillment does not leave the order record.
- Custom e-commerce storefront
- Inventory and order management
- Retailer fulfillment and dropshipping
- Payment integration including Amazon Pay context
When a person still takes over
Studio and warehouse still confirm a custom ornament, a wholesale quote, and a return. The product records the order. A person still owns production and ship.
- Wholesale inquiry review before a retailer order is accepted
- Returns lookup with a named handler
- Custom ornament production that a person signs off
What it connects to
- Custom e-commerce platform
- Amazon Pay
- Order and inventory management
- Retailer dropshipping
Wholesale and consumer orders still live in separate inboxes?
If retailer dropshipping and the public catalog do not share one order, we can look at a custom commerce platform, the way we did for Joy to the World Collectibles.
